Ford Focuses On Dearborn

Downtown Dearborn is getting a boost from it’s number one corporate resident.
Ford breaks ground on Wagner Place— an expansion of Ford’s Dearborn campus. It’s an urban development, designed as a workplace for 600 employees. Ford is renovating vacant buildings. Gov. Snyder helped open the project.
Plans call for the redevelopment of two-blocks of mostly vacant buildings .

The Wagner hotel has been empty for close to a decade.

Office and retail space is designed to appeal to younger workers, who want to work in an urban environment. The 60-million dollar project is scheduled to be finished next year.
