Here’s A Q-Tip For The Q-Line

The new Q-Line goes on-line today.  It’s been in testing for months.
It’s been more than 50 years since a streetcar ran down the street in Detroit. Roger Penske, Dan Gilbert, Quicken Loans, the Kresge Foundation, and others came together and put up the money to build it.
Here’s some advice for for non-riders.

The new service will entail a learning process for those trying to navigate around the new streetcar system.
Pedestrians, especially are being warned … no jay walking … use crosswalks when crossing Woodward.

Also, step over the tracks and not on them as they are lubricated to cut down on noise and will be slippery.

Motorists beware.

If you park on Woodward make sure your vehicle is within the marked white parking lines, otherwise, you could be towed.

Bikers and others wearing headphones are also being told to make sure to keep the volume down so that you can hear the streetcar horn.
