A Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy is due in court today for preliminary exam involving a fatal car crash.
Police say 36 year old Matthew Doss was off-duty when he smashed his truck into another vehicle in Lincoln Park in October of last year.
56 year old resident Henry Lowe was severely injured in that crash, but died the next day in the hospital.
A police investigation determined Doss had been speeding at the time.
He is charged with reckless driving causing death … a 15 year felony.
