One person is dead and another hospitalized after a fire ripped through a Sterling Heights apartment building. The condition of the victim hospitalized is not disclosed.
The fire broke out at the Sterling Knolls Apartments on 15 Mile and Dodge Park. The fire destroyed eight units of the apartment building.
Residents helped others escape.
Two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion .
