23 year old Brandon Putman was in Greektown celebrating his 23rd birthday.
He said someone sucker-punched him and that he only remembers waking up later in the hospital.
Video footage, which led to the arrest of the suspects, showed several people kicking and beating him while some of his attackers were grinning and posing for the camera
Putman was in the hospital for five days.
Among his injuries, a broken eye socket.
Scheduled to be arraigned were 28 year old Terrell Carter of Westland, 27 year old Stanley Faulk of Inkster, 26 year old Keith Harvey of Detroit, 31 year old Eddie Curry of Inkster and 21 year old Rachaan Yharbrough of Detroit.
Still facing a preliminary exam is 24 year old Tyron Larken of Inkster.
