They call it bump and run. It’s more than a move on the football field. Detroit Police are warning drivers about a carjacking team who bumps into their victims from behind to get them out of their cars.
It happened twice yesterday in two separate locations.
First, at about 3:15 am near E. McNichols and John R. when a driver was carjacked at gunpoint.
Then it happened about 45 minutes later at 4 am in the university district.
In both cases, no one was hurt.
Police say 2 men and a woman did the carjackings. They may be driving a silver vehicle.
Detroit Police urge drivers who may be targeted to call 911 or drive to the nearest police precinct.
