Police Count On Us To Help After Airport Attack

Law enforcement—- with the loss of thousands of officers at all levels in Michigan in recent years— is asking the public to help them in hi-profile areas like airports, after the knife attack at Flint Bishop Airport by a Canadian man from Tunisia.
Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon says observant citizens are crucial to helping police.

“Be as vigilant as you can. Watch out for anything out of the ordinary. But there isn’t much we can do if someone is walking up and attempting to hurt you like that,” he said.

As part of the Canadian investigation, police in Montreal descended on that city’s St-Michel neighborhood targeting an apartment where the attacker lived with his wife and 3 children.

People who live there say Amor Ftouhi was a quiet family man.

Ftouhi had been working as a driver through a job placement agency.
Authorities say Ftouhi hates the U-S. They’re trying to determine how and when Ftouhi decided to leave his family and go on jihad.  he is held without bond in Flint.
Airport officer Jeff Neville is in satisfactory condition.
