Drunk Driver Goes To Prison For Fatal Crash

A 26-year-old Grosse Pointe Woods woman has been given a lengthy prison sentence for the drunk driving crash that killed a FedEx truck driver on Detroit’s east side.

Myah Betts was driving at a high speed last February when she ran a stop sign and hit the FedEx truck.

Betts was drunk.

Judge Mark Slavens sentenced her to 27 to 50 years in prison. Betts was convicted of 2nd degree murder. Betts tearfully apologized to the victim’s family in court.
