The Coast Guard led a search for a report of a missing swimmer off Belle Isle last night.
But they say it was a “false alarm.”
A teenage swimmer said she saw a child in the water who went underwater and never resurfaced. Boats and a helicopter were called out.
Nobody came forward to report a loved one as missing.
The water where the sighting was reported are about three or four feet deep, and conditions were calm.
