Jilted Boyfriend Faces Murder Charges

A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for a 37 year old Detroit man in the fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend.

Police say Earl Maxwell shot 42 year old Latrese Morris-Dorsey several times in her home while her four year old daughter was in the same room and her 14 year old son in a nearby room.

It happened on June 20th in the woman’s home in the 10-thousand block of Avon.
Police say Maxwell was angry that Morris-Dorsey was breaking off their relationship.
