Gymboree is closing 350 of its stores nationwide.
Closing in the Detroit-area are the Gymboree stores at the Somerset Collection in Troy, at Lakeside mall in Sterling Heights, Laurel Park Place in Livonia and at Fairlane Mall in Dearborn.
The other closings are at Outlets in West Branch, Genesee Valley in Flint, Birchwood in Fort Gratiot, Jackson and Grand Traverse Mall in Traverse City.
The company has filed for bankruptcy as it restructures.
Closing sales at the impacted stores are beginning today.
