Car Dealer Opens After Fire

Sterling Heights firemen call it the largest fire ever in that city.
Buff Whelan Chevrolet was heavily damaged.
But the dealership is opening for business today, even though the service area was gutted.
Other damage is being inspected.
No one was hurt.
More than 20 vehicles were destroyed.
Fire Chief Chris Martin says vehicle fires are different these days, with plastics and chemicals which make vehicle fires last longer than they used to.  A janitor crew buffing the floor at Buff Whelan apparently set off sparks that set off fluid, that started the blaze.
Smoke and damage spread to other parts of the dealership, which is open for business today.
