A teen who Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies say stabbed his grandmother to death at her Springfield Township home is dead.
Detectives say 15 year old Steven Wilkerson rode his bike from his house to his 65 year old grandma’s mobile home in the Oak Hill Estates neighborhood — near East Holly Road and Dixie Highway in northern Oakland County — and stabbed her multiple times with a kitchen knife. Authorities say Wilkerson’s father called police after finding a note that said he was going to kill his grandma.
Authorities say after Wilkerson left the home in his grandma’s car — he drove to nearby Holly where they found his body near some train tracks. Detectives say he was hit by an oncoming train. Deputies suspect the boy may have committed suicide.
