Dearborn Heights police are investigating after a gunman robbed a 7-Eleven on Cherry Hill Road near Inkster.
The man entered the store about 4:40 a.m. armed with a handgun. A customer and clerk ran for cover. Police said at least one gunshot was fired toward the clerk.
The video shows the gunman jump over the counter and try to break into the cash register. The gunman fled in a vehicle which police later apprehended in Inkster.
It turns out this was the second visit to the store by the robber.
The gunman shown in the video tried to rob the same 7-Eleven earlier in the night, according to police. He was armed with a knife the first time, and was fought off by the clerk.
Police have the driver of the car in custody. Police suspect a second person may have been the man with the gun.
