Mistaken Identity Cop Shooter Sentenced

A Detroit man who shot and wounded two Detroit Police officers has been sentenced to two years of probation.

20 year old Juwan Plummer admitted to firing out the door of his family’s northeast Detroit home. Plummer told police there had been an attempted break in at his home three days prior to the incident on April 16 — and thought the police were actually robbers.
He apologized in court, and said he hoped the officers and their families understood that residents are terrified of violence.
The two Detroit police officers were responding to a a reported break-in at a vacant home across  the street. The officers were hit by shotgun pellets.They’re ok. If Plummer completes his two year probation — the felony charges will be dropped..

The judge in the case says Plummer isn’t a risk to society.
