Used Car Buyers: Beware Of Flood Cars

Hurricanes Irma and Harvey have left hundreds of thousands of flood-damaged cars in their wake.

Authorities are warning buyers to beware of used cars that will be flooding the market.

The warnings started in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey’s ravaging of the Houston area.

Hundreds of thousands of cars were damaged by the flood waters.

Analysts are warning Americans looking to buy a used car to make sure they check a vehicles history report and to inspect every car carefully before buying.

Records show that about half of cars damaged by floods are returned to the road.

The selling of damaged flood cars was a common occurrence following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

It is estimated there are today about 325-thousand flood damaged cars on the road across the United States.
