Another version of auto insurance reform is unveiled to try to lower the cost of auto coverage in Michigan. Drivers could choose the level of medical coverage under this plan: $250,000, $500,000, or the current unlimited level. Speaker of the House Tom Leonard says the formula has built-in savings, in that hospitals would have to charge lower fees for medical services in line with what they charge to large insurance carriers, which get a discount on charges.
