Pleasant Valley is not very pleasant.
A semi crashed into the overpass bridge at Pleasant Valley Road, which goes over I-96 near U-S 23 in Brighton Twp. The bridge is unstable to carry traffic, and the state M-Dot will tear it down. The EB I-96 lanes are closed. Traffic that seeks to bypass it is backed up. The tear down will happen tonight. M-DOT hopes to have the lanes re-opened tomorrow.
The overpass will be rebuilt, but that will take months.
