Snyder Talks About MSP Boss

Gov. Snyder has made his first comments explaining his decision not to fire State Police Director Col. Kristie Kibbe Etue for a Facebook post regarding athletes and the national anthem.

“All of us have issues where we make mistakes in life,” Snyder told WJR Special Host Sheriff Michael Bouchard.

“Should that disrupt someone’s entire career? They need to learn from it. She’s done a lot of fabulous service. Let’s consider this a learning experience and hopefully she’s more sensitive and she can  grow from.”

The FB post called athletes who don’t stand for the national anthem ‘degenerates who hate America.’ Etue has since apologized. Some activist groups have called for her resignation or firing.
