It’s a relief for motorists. Traffic is now flowing freely on I-96 in Brighton Twp. where the the Pleasant Valley Road bridge was demolished –after a semi truck crashed into the overpass Tuesday evening. M-DOT acted quickly to get a contractor out to do the work. The EB lanes had to be closed because the bridge was unstable.
Pleasant Valley Road over I-96 will remain closed for approximately 6 months until the new structure can be built.
