Oakland County Water Update

Residents face another day with the water crisis in part of Oakland County.
Many schools are closed again.
Hospitals are affected.
The mad dash for bottled water is on again.
The 12 communities affected are being told that it may be Friday night before the big water main that broke will be fixed, and the water will be safe to drink.
The water authority facility is at 14 Mile near Drake Road in West Bloomfield.  That’s where the work is going on.
A replacement water main is now on site, the old broken one has been dug out, and today workers plan to put the new one in place.

It’ll take 48 hours of testing and flushing out the system before the boil water advisory is lifted.
