Crews have been able to repair the water main which broke earlier this week along 14 Mile in West Bloomfield, prompting a boil water advisory in a dozen communities.
Pressure testing is now going on, and the main will be disinfected and flushed. After that, water quality testing will occur. If test results come back clear, then the boil water advisory will be lifted.
The Great Lakes Water Authority said it expects the advisory to be lifted by the end of the day Friday.
