Another Flint Water Case In Court

A preliminary exam resumes today for one of the state officials charged in connection with the Flint water crises.

The state’s top medical executive, Doctor Eden Wells, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and misconduct in office.

The manslaughter charge could send her to prison for up to 15 years.

She is the 6th person charged with involuntary manslaughter in the Flint case.

All told, 15 people are facing a variety of criminal charges in the investigation by state Attorney General Bill Schuette, which started in April of last year.

Today’s hearing is to determine if she will be bound over for trial.
