Macomb Bribe Probe Snares Ex-County Strongman

A Macomb Township trustee has been indicted in the Macomb County bribery investigation.

Dino Bucci faces bribery, extortion, theft, and money-laundering charges involving contracts issued by Macomb Township and the Macomb County Public Works Department.
The federal indictment charges Bucci with taking part in a 9-year bribery conspiracy with other public officials and contractors.
The 18-count indictment says Bucci accepted tens of thousands of dollars in cash, checks, and gift cards in exchange for public contracts. Bucci also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in political fundraising in exchange for public contracts, according to the charges.

Bucci was the top aide of former Macomb County Public Works Commissioner Anthony Marrocco. He is the 18th person to be indicted in the bribery investigation.
