Nov. Vehicle Sales Dip A Little

Overall November auto sales are down slightly. But  it was still a strong month at the showrooms.

Ford posted a sales increase of more than 6-percent. Ford juiced up fleet sales to rental car companies. Ford retail volume gained 1 percent. GM slipped nearly 3-percent. Higher-profit vehicles still did well.
Fiat Chrysler was down 4-percent. FCA has not had a gain all year.

Again, light trucks and SUV’s were the big sellers.

Volume for the year will top 17 million vehicles for the 3rd straight year.

Automakers are expected to sweeten the pot with more incentives to clear out 20-17 leftovers.
