A SMARTER Way Between The D And DTW?

Final plans are announced for an improved limited-stop bus service between downtown Detroit and Metro airport.
The service is expected to start the first of January and would be operated by SMART, the area’s suburban bus system.

It would replace the current provider, ReFleX, which was jointly operated by D-Dot and SMART on Woodward and Gratiot.

The new service would add Michigan Avenue and buses would run more frequently on all of the routes.

The Woodward and Gratiot routes would be expanded into Pontiac and Chesterfield Township.

SMART officials say plans  include bus frequency, specific stops and hours of operation.
