WJR listeners proved again that they are the most generous audience in broadcasting.
The Mitch Albom Radiothon For Mitch’s ‘SAY Detroit’ charities raised $1,258,257 by the end of yesterday’s marathon broadcast on WJR.
This broke last year’s mark by more than $200,000.
“We broke that by a lot!”, exclaimed Mitch at 9pm, after 15 straight hours on the air.
it was the 6th annual broadcast fundraiser for SAY Detroit, formed by Mitch several years ago.
