Men Charged With Shooting Transgender Woman

A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for two Detroit men charged with attempted murder in connection with an armed robbery of a transgender  woman in Detroit.

Charged in the case are 21 year old Charles Brown and 19 year old Jujuan Williams.

Police say the two approached the woman at gunpoint in the 17-thousand-800 block of Woodward just before two in the morning on November 17th and told her to run.

She dropped her purse and tried to flee.

Prosecutors say Brown fired five shots, hitting her three times.

She survived.

The men fled, but were later arrested by police.

Brown has been charged with attempted murder.

Williams is facing armed robbery charges
