A lawsuit is coming aimed at what health officials say is the opioid epidemic.
Several Michigan communities will file a lawsuit today charging the big drug companies, distributors, and drugstores with causing it.
The lawsuit will ask the federal court to make the companies pay the expenses for the opioid crisis, charging racketeering, reckless production and distribution of the drugs, and lying about the safety of these drugs.
Other similar lawsuits are being filed in federal courts.
