Many child car seats are installed improperly.
The Farmington Hills Fire Department wants to correct that problem.
The fire department is offering inspections of child safety seats.
It will take place on Sunday from 8am until noon at fire station number 4which is located at 28-thousand-711 Drake road.
Nationally certified technicians will be on hand.
The inspections take between 30 and 45 minutes to complete.
They are free but are by appointment only.

You do not have to be a Farmington Hills resident to get the inspection.
