Detroit-Windsor will not be the location of Amazon’s second headquarters.
Amazon released the list of 20 finalists for the huge facilities, which Amazon says would employee tens of thousands of workers.
Among the cities and areas on the list….
New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Toronto.
The attributes Amazon said it was seeking for its new home — including a metropolitan area with a population more than one million and the ability to attract and keep strong technical talent— weeded out many of the 238 applicants. Amazon provided no details about how it chose the finalists for its second headquarters, which it is calling HQ2.
Amazon says it will make a decision later this year.
