Today is the last day of operation for two Sam’s Club stores in Michigan.
Shutting their doors are the stores on Northwestern Highway in Farmington Hills and the store on Edgewood Blvd in Lansing.
The two are among 50 other stores nationwide that will be shuttered.
Another dozen or so will be converted into on-line centers.
The Farmington Hills closing will effect 158 workers … the Lansing store 172 employees.
Officials did say that those let go will have the opportunity to apply for open positions at other Sam’s Club or Walmart facilities.
