Most Serious Charges Dropped In Auto Scandal Case

Monica Morgan, the widow of a late UAW official, admits to failing to report $201,000 from her 2011 taxes. The plea bargain with the US Attorney’s drops all other charges.

Morgan’s husband, the late UAW Vice President General Holifield, conspired with a Fiat Chrysler executive who siphoned $4.5 million from the Chrysler-UAW Training Center, according to the U.S. government.

Morgan, as part of the plea deal, had conspiracy and fraud charges dropped. She faces 2 years in prison under her sentencing guidelines. She also has to pay $190,747 in restitution.
