Semi Loses Control In Fatal I-94 Crash

A semi-truck driver was killed and two other motorists were seriously injured in a truck crash that had I-94 closed for hours near Ann Arbor.

State Police say a semi driver lost control of the truck and was veering onto the shoulder of EB I-94 near Zeeb Road in Scio Twp. when it was hit from behind by another truck. The driver of that semi, a 42 year old Redford man, was ejected into the roadway and was run over by a car. He was dead at the scene. The driver of truck number 1 and the driver of the car are hospitalized with serious injuries.
The freeway was closed for 9 hours for the investigation, and to clean up fuel and a truckload of fruit snacks.
