DPD, Gunmen, in Standoff

Two gunmen are barricaded inside homes in NE Detroit after two women were killed and a police officer was shot in a leg. Shots were coming from each of the 2 houses.

Police from multiple agencies have surrounded the area
near East Outer Drive and Ryan Road.

Another man was shot and wounded. He reportedly he works with the Detroit Public Schools Police Department and was shot in a thigh.
His wife is one of the women who was killed, according to the public school police chief. The chief said the gunman was dating the niece of one of the victims.
The two women who were killed reportedly were sisters.
This gunman told police he wouldn’t give up without a fight. The family says he is mentally ill.
