New Houses Coming To Ferndale

The housing market in Ferndale is hot. City officials are working with a developer who plans one of the largest home developments in southeast Oakland County in years.

Pinecrest Holdings proposes to built 70 single-family houses and 27 multi-family homes on 20 acres of vacant industrial land.
The parcel, facing 8-Mile,is the former home of the Ethyl Corporation, and Hayes Lemmerz, both connected to the auto industry.

The 3 and 4 bedroom houses would comprise up to 24-hundred square feet.
Robertson Brothers is building two new developments on former school building sites.

Ferndale, along with Royal Oak, has seen stronger demand for houses, boosting prices, and making it feasible for new housing projects.
