A 16 year old Detroiter is being charged as an adult in the death of a 61 year old Southfield man.
Police identified the victim as Xavier Pratcher.
He was crossing 8 mile just after 2:30 in the morning back on February 18th when he was attacked and beaten by 16 year old Deante Taylor and 27 year old Darico Jackson during an apparent robbery attempt.
They left him unconscious in the road.
He was subsequently hit by a car and killed.
Both men have been charged with second degree murder.
Taylor is due in court today.
