The latest flap involving Karen Spranger, Macomb County Clerk, had Sheriff’s deputies called to the Macomb County Circuit Court building Saturday after the county executive’s office says the clerk was disrupting a planned move of her office.
Spranger and her deputy Jackie Ryan say the were trying to make sure that equipment and fixtures were going where she wanted them to go.
The sheriff’s department also says they’re investigating an allegation that Spranger allowed a non-county employee to go to a conference and paid for it on Spranger’s county-issued credit card.
