The Ferndale Planning Commission meets tonight to discuss plans for a massive home development project.
The commission will look at a proposal by Pinecrest Holdings to build 70 single-family homes and 27 multi-family houses on 20 acres of vacant industrial land just south of Ferndale High School.
The 3 and 4 bedroom homes would range in size from 17-hundred to 24-hundred square feet.
If the planning commission approves the plans, construction would begin in the fall with the first units up for sale next spring.
The project would be one of the largest home developments in southeast Oakland County in several years.
