She left her home to look for a lost dog. Now she’s dead.
Troy Police say the body of a woman was found in a pond at the Emerald Lakes subdivision in Troy.
Police say the 61 year old woman went looking for a dog that was lost when, it appears, she may have slipped into the water and drowned. They say foul play is not suspected.
The woman lived with her sister.
The sister was unaware that the woman wasn’t home.
A neighbor spotted the body in the pond.
An autopsy will be performed.
The dog did not come home.
