A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for a Detroit man charged with shooting and wounding an 8 year old girl.
21 year old Damond Reeves is facing a charge of assault with intent to murder.
Police say he was at a gas station at Plymouth near Wyoming at about 8:30 in the morning on March 23rd … that he was getting agitated as he asked customers for cigarettes.
Witnesses say he pulled a gun and opened fire.
A little girl in a car with her mother was hit in the arm.
The mother had been taking the girl to school.
She was treated for her wounds and is recovering.
The mother was not hit.
