The Latest MSU Sex Charge Is In A Lawsuit

A Michigan State student is suing the university over the handling of a rape case involving three men’s basketball players in 2015.

The lawsuit says the 18-year-old woman was in her first year as a student at Michigan State and was raped by three players shortly after the basketball season ended.

According to the lawsuit, the woman was at Harper’s Bar in East Lansing April 11, 2015, when some players on the MSU men’s basketball team arrived at the bar.

The lawsuit says after some drinking, she went with players to an apartment, where she was raped.

The players are not named in the lawsuit. The lawsuit says the woman went to MSU counselors, who discouraged her from going forward with filing criminal charges.
