Rizzo Bribe Sentence Today

Multi-millionaire trash Hauler Chuck Rizzo Junior is scheduled to be sentenced today for his role in a widespread public corruption case.

The 47 year old Rizzo had been charged with bribery and wire fraud for stealing money from his own company in order to bribe various Macomb County politicians who had supported his move for lucrative trash hauling contracts in several communities.

He admitted that he paid the bribes, but said he was bullied into doing so under threats that he would lose those contracts.

Lawyers for Rizzo note that he has cooperated with the FBI and should spend less than 6 years in prison.

Prosecutors want him sentenced to more than 6 years.

Rizzo’s 70 year old father has also pled guilty to a wire fraud charge and is to be sentenced next month.
