A Pontiac man with a criminal history dating back to the 1990’s is to be sentenced today for the murder of his wife.
56 year old Patrick Johnson had been scheduled to go on trial earlier this month in the death of his wife Karen.
But, then pled no contest to the charge against him.
This is not an admission of guilt, but is treated as such at his sentencing.
Karen Johnson had been beaten to death with a hammer back on January 18th.
Jonshon had called 9-1-1 to ask for help.
When police arrived he admitted hitting his wife with the hammer following an argument.
