Wrong Way Driver Faces Trial

A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for a Wolverine Lake man who killed two people in a wrong-way traffic accident.
59 year old Michael Stack has been charged with 2 counts of reckless driving and one count of having an open intoxicant in his car.

Prosecutors say Stack was driving the wrong way on the on the northbound I-275 freeway near Cherry Hill road just after 10:30 in the morning back on December 12th.

He smashed into a vehicle.

It’s two occupants from Wayne, 32 year old Shannon McIntyre and 33 year old Nicholas Pare were killed.

Stack had been a Wolverine Lake Village Councilman at the time of the crash.

He was released on personal bond pending today’s court hearing.
