Detroit police are investigating the death of an elderly woman who appears to have picked up a downed wire on E. State Fair in Detroit.
DTE says the spot was marked off by yellow caution tape from last week’s wind storm.
DTE says “Our hearts and prayers go out to the woman’s family. This is a sad reminder of the importance of staying at least 20 feet away from any down wire and assume that it is live. We are working with Detroit police to investigate.”
