Voters in Macomb County are being asked today today approve a replacement operating millage for Macomb Community College.
It’s a 20-year, 1.464 mill issue that would fund about 25-percent of the school’s budget.
If approved, the millage would increase taxes on a 100-thousand dollar home by about 3-dollars a year.
The increase would raise about 36-million dollars a year for the college, making it its second-largest funding source after tuition and student fees.
Also on the ballot in Macomb County today, a 20-year, 59.4 million bond issue for Roseville Community schools and a 10-year, one mill sinking fund for
the Van Dyke Public schools.
