Plans are to be announced today on the renovation efforts for one of Detroit’s most iconic structures.
It’s the 200-foot steeple and bell tower at the the Saint Joseph Catholic Church near the Eastern Market.
It was heavily damaged in 2016 and led to the church being closed for several months.
The bell tower was built in 1873 and the steeple added in 1892.
