Welcome To Mcity

The Mcity Driverless Shuttle begins for passengers today. The research project was designed to gauge consumer acceptance of driverless vehicles.
This is the first driverless shuttle project in the United States with a main focus on data collection and user behavior research, according to the organizers.
The project will use two automated electric shuttles that can hold 11 passengers and will have a one-mile round trip route on campus.
Mcity will document the reactions of passengers through cameras and surveys. The data will be used to gauge consumer acceptance of the technology and help design safer vehicles.
There will be no cost to ride.
