The three leading Michigan Democrats running for governor will meet tonight in the first of two scheduled debates.
Tonight’s debate will take place at WOOD TV in Grand Rapids, a second debate is scheduled here in Detroit at WDIV TV on July 19th.
Facing off are former Detroit Health Department Director Abdul El-Sayed, businessman Shri Thanedar and former state senate minority leader Gretchen Whitmer.
The three have been in several other forums over the last year, but these two are the first to be televised..
The Republican candidates are scheduled to debate on June 28th in Detroit.
